In their 35 Serie A and B trips to Marassi, this is the first time Cagliari have lost two on the bounce. The Sardinians have one point from the last six rounds. However, they failed to score after netting 12 in the previous nine competitive games. Cagliari haven’t kept a clean sheet for 12 official matches in a row, conceding 25 goals. Under Gianfranco Zola’s tenure, they conceded 20 in 10 Serie A matches with just two victories.
Roma registered their eighth draw in the last nine rounds, but are still a way off their 2005-06 run of 12 consecutive stalemates. However, the Giallorossi hadn’t played out four goalless draws in a single campaign since 2003-04.
The Viola had been unbeaten in 13 competitive outings, including nine wins. They failed to score after eight rounds with 16 goals.
Sampdoria are still unbeaten on home turf this season, on a par with Juventus and Roma, but ended a run of three straight draws here.

Fabio Quagliarella got his 85th top flight goal and his 10th of the season. He hadn’t reached double figures since 2009-10 at Napoli.
Edy Reja made his Atalanta debut and ended their four-round losing streak, but the team has just one win and one draw from the last seven rounds. The Orobici haven’t beaten Parma at the Tardini since a 2-1 result in 2011, managing one point from three trips. This was Atalanta’s 600th top flight draw.
Luca Toni got his 140
th Serie A goal, 11 in the current campaign and five in as many games. Before that run, the veteran had just six in the previous 21 rounds.
The Serie A unbeaten home record remains for Juventus with 37 wins and four draws. The Bianconeri have put together 11 victories and six draws in 17 rounds. Paul Pogba has scored seven League goals this season, two of them past Sassuolo, but four of those goals proved decisive for Juve victories.
Verona have never beaten the Rossoneri at San Siro with 10 draws and 16 defeats. They’ve never won in this stadium against Inter either, as between the city rivals Hellas managed just 21 stalemates and 31 losses.

Gonzalo Higuain scored his 30th Serie A goal, but now has 150 in his League career (30 for Napoli, 107 at Real Madrid and 13 with River Plate). Remarkably, this was only his second Serie A strike from outside the box. The other was against Milan in September 2013. He hadn’t found the net since January 26.
